I am the managing partner of a busy personal injury practice. I have been an attorney over 35 years. Lorna Soroko has worked as an investigator assisting our law firm for over 20 years. She is brilliant and persistent in her interviewing skills, able to get even the most reluctant witness to speak openly. She has a manner that conveys trust and empathy. Her written reports are so useful. Her reports are succinct and contain information that is relevant to the case and give a clear view of the issues. Her writing skills are top-notch. Lorna has legal training and understands the legal issues surrounding investigations, including when it is prohibited (or not) to interview witnesses or be in certain locations. She handles difficult people with tact and grace, and I would not hesitate to send her into any case-related situation. I know she will conduct herself professionally and correctly, and report back truthfully, even if the truth does not assist the case. Over the past twenty some years I have come to rely on Lorna’s abilities and her expertise, and I have referred her repeatedly to law firms and attorneys throughout Arizona. I highly recommend her.

I have worked with Lorna for over a decade now and she is amazing. As a private investigator, she has tracked down anything I have needed and acquired extremely valuable information from witnesses. She has added value to my cases with her damage interviews and videos. Because she has a law degree and extensive background in the television industry and documentary making, she knows what questions to ask, how to get the best information out of clients, and how to present it. Lorna’s interviews are incredibly helpful. She is kind and empathetic, so people feel very comfortable talking to her. She is also proactive and suggests additional steps that might help the case.

During my 40 years as an attorney in the personal injury field, I’ve used a variety of sources to assist in preparation of cases, whether it was for videos, investigations, witness interviews, settlement documents, notebooks or photo albums, and no one comes close to the quality of work Lorna does.
When I started working with Lorna over twenty years ago, it quickly became clear to me and other lawyers that she has a gift for establishing a rapport with and empathizing with people from all walks of life. She is able to get clients and witnesses to open up in ways that I could not. She has an artist’s instincts for developing “the story” and its themes for damages. She has a sixth sense for the drama and passion that go into the damages and authenticities involved in these wrongful death and significant injury cases. She is also a brilliant writer.
With Lorna’s background in law, she knows the right interview questions to ask to highlight the important aspects of the case. Her interviews often uncover information that’s key to the case’s success.
As an example of her off-the-chart investigative skills, in one case, we needed to find a witness not listed in any of the 200 pages of police reports. It was a high profile, wrongful death case out of Phoenix. There was a conflict in the reports on whether the deceased was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. Even though it was two and a half years after the accident, Lorna managed to find the police officer who was first on the scene, even though he wasn’t mentioned in any of the reports. He clearly remembered that the deceased was wearing a seatbelt. When Lorna asked him how he could be so sure, he said, “Because I’m a school resource officer, and for 20 years I’ve told students seat belts save lives and that I had never unbuckled a dead person. After that morning I could no longer say that.” He was on his way to a school that morning and didn’t think he needed to do a report since other officers arrived so quickly on the scene. His testimony was key to getting a large settlement. I don’t know any other investigator or attorney who could do that kind of digging and get that kind of statement.
In pragmatic terms, Lorna is like having a brilliant associate on call for cases that require her remarkable skills.
I know most lawyers are skeptics, so take a look at Lorna’s interviews and you will be quickly convinced how good she is. She is a professional and easy to work with. I guarantee she is value added. If you have any questions, please feel free to call.

Lorna has worked with me for many years as a private investigator. Her work has always been superb. She is excellent at tracking down witnesses and getting uncooperative witnesses to give full and complete accounts of events. I use her on all of my hardest cases.|

As any seasoned litigation attorney knows, evidence and presentation of the evidence matter. However, finding the evidence can be a stubborn thing. Lorna Soroko somehow has a keen knack for finding even the most stubborn evidence. Thank you to Lorna for all your help over the years.
