About
Lorna Soroko was the Chief Investigator of the Public Defender's Office in Santa Cruz, CA, where she also worked on civil cases, before attending Harvard Law School. During law school, she worked as an investigator for major criminal defense lawyers. She graduated cum laude and practiced entertainment law in Los Angeles at an international law firm and at a major motion picture studio. Lorna is a member of the California Bar.
While practicing law, Lorna produced a documentary and numerous segments for a cable TV series. Lorna then sold a story to HBO and developed and co-produced the film, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. She shared a national writing award in connection with this film. After that, she earned more television writing and producing credits.
Lorna went on to serve as Creative V.P. of Adam Productions at Warner Bros. and at Twentieth Century Fox studios, developing new TV series and movies.
Lorna opened her own investigative agency, Soroko Investigations, when she moved to Tucson in 1996, focusing primarily on plaintiffs’ civil litigation. She conducts outstanding interviews, discovers key information, and writes comprehensive, clear reports.
Lorna also makes settlement videos in wrongful death, catastrophic injury (day-in-the-life) and serious injury cases. The videos combine Lorna’s understanding of legal issues, an ability to interview people in a way that draws out genuine, moving responses, a talent for telling a compelling story, and exceptional editing skills.
Lorna has been an active Big Sister through Big Brothers Big Sisters for almost twenty years. She mentored reading students for many years, created curricula for a local high school law magnet, and she has organized and moderated numerous events for the University of Arizona and Tucson Film.
